Common Washer Problems We Fix
Washer won’t drain. Usually a clogged drain pump, a blocked hose, or a failed pump motor. Sometimes it’s a sock. We’ve pulled plenty of those.
Washer won’t spin. Often a worn drive belt, a bad lid switch, a failed motor coupler, or a broken door lock assembly on front-load machines.
Washer leaking water. Could be a cracked hose, a failed door boot seal, a bad water inlet valve, or a leaking pump housing. Worth handling quickly — water damage costs more than the repair.
Washer won’t start or fill. Typically a failed inlet valve, a bad lid switch, a control board issue, or a water pressure problem at the supply line.
Loud banging or shaking during spin. Usually worn suspension rods or shock absorbers, failed drum bearings, or an unbalanced load sensor.
Washer stops mid-cycle. Often a control board fault, a drain issue, or a door lock that isn’t registering as closed.
Clothes coming out soaked. A drain or spin problem — the machine isn’t finishing its final cycle.
Bad smell from the washer. Common on front-loaders. Usually mildew in the door boot or detergent buildup in the drum, and often fixable without a part.
